]]> Biograph è una celebre e monumentale raccolta in cofanetto di Bob Dylan, pubblicata nel 1985.
Considerata il prototipo dei moderni cofanetti antologici, ripercorre l’intera carriera di Dylan dagli esordi del 1961 fino al 1981, includendo una massiccia dose di rarità, inediti e versioni alternative che ne hanno fatto un capolavoro imperdibile per fan e critici. 

Questa edizione (originale) su vinile è strutturata in 5 LP, con un totale di 53 brani. L’elemento chiave del cofanetto è l’ampio booklet illustrato (storicamente curato da Cameron Crowe), che accompagna l’ascoltatore con note dettagliate traccia per traccia, scritte dallo stesso Dylan o tratte da interviste d’archivio.
La tracklist unisce i più grandi classici a perle nascoste. La suddivisione logica dei brani include:
  • I grandi classici: Da capolavori folk/protesta come Blowin’ In The Wind e The Times They Are A-Changin’ fino ai classici rock elettrici come Like A Rolling Stone, Mr. Tambourine Man e Lay, Lady, Lay.
  • Inediti e Rarità: Questa è l’anima del cofanetto, che include provini, outtake e b-side (come Mixed-Up Confusion, il primo singolo di Dylan, Jet Pilot e la bellissima I’ll Keep It With Mine).
  • Versioni Live: Include performance storiche introvabili altrove, come la versione live di Visions of Johanna (1966).
  • Capolavori recenti (per l’epoca): Selezioni dai dischi del periodo della rinascita spirituale e rock degli anni ’70 e ’80, tra cui brani da Blood on the Tracks, Desire e Shot of Love (es. Groom’s Still Waiting At The Altar e Every Grain of Sand).
